Cancellation Policy
Effective as of August 10, 2026
This policy applies exclusively to direct bookings made through entrecanaletcriee.fr for the Entre Canal & Criée apartment. It supplements the rental terms and conditions.
How do I request a cancellation?
The request must be submitted in writing to reservation@entrecanaletcriee.fr or through the contact form, quoting the primary guest’s name and booking reference. The date and time the request is received determine the applicable cancellation terms.
Refund based on the cancellation date
- Cancellation at least 30 calendar days before the check-in date: a full refund of all amounts collected.
- Cancellation fewer than 30 calendar days before the check-in date: no refund of the rent.
If the stay has not begun, the cleaning fee and tourist tax will be refunded even when the rent remains nonrefundable.
No-show, late arrival, and early departure
No rent refund is due in the event of a no-show, delayed arrival, or early departure initiated by the guest. Services already arranged or provided remain payable.
Cancellation by the host
If the host cancels the booking for a reason attributable to the host, all amounts collected will be refunded without undue delay unless the guest expressly accepts an alternative arrangement or rescheduled stay. This refund does not affect any other rights available to the guest under applicable law.
Force majeure
If an unforeseeable, unavoidable, and external event prevents the stay from being provided under the conditions of Article 1218 of the French Civil Code, the affected party must inform the other party without delay and provide available supporting documents. Rescheduling will be considered first. If no agreement is reached or the stay is permanently impossible, the financial consequences will be determined in accordance with applicable law and the services actually provided.
Personal illness, a change of plans, transportation cancellation, or adverse weather does not automatically constitute force majeure; each situation is assessed based on its circumstances and supporting documentation.
No right of withdrawal
Accommodation bookings provided on a specific date or during a specific period are not subject to the 14-day right of withdrawal, in accordance with Article L. 221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code.
Refund method
When a refund is due, it is initiated without undue delay using the payment method used for the booking or, if that is not possible, by bank transfer. The time required for the funds to appear then depends on the bank or payment provider.
